FUEL TUBE TREATMENT STATION
The machine is used to heat fuel lines, strip their insulation and cut them.
Description of operation
The operator manually places both ends of the hose into the heating module, enabling the insulation to be stripped using the specialised Coax 5500 device. The next step is to cut the fibres on the guillotine. Finally, the operator cuts the hose to the required length in the cutting module.
Device construction
HEATING STATION
The heating station consists of two modules. Each module is equipped with a pneumatic cylinder to hold the cables in place during the heating process, and a heater. Each heater has two openings for the cable ends. The presence of the cables is detected by fibre-optic sensors.
INSULATION STRIPPING STATION
The insulation stripping station features a cable positioning and detection module, which ensures the cable is fed into the station to the correct distance. The specialised Coax STRIP 5500 device strips the insulation from the cable. During the stripping process, the cable is held in place by special gripper jaws.
CUTTING GUILLOTINE
Using the guillotine, the operator manually cuts off the remaining cable reinforcement fibres.
CABLE CUTTING STATION
The operator places the cable in the station, where, once detected, it is cut to the specified length. Waste from cutting and stripping falls into a suitable container beneath the worktop.
SAFETY LEVEL
In accordance with the customer’s guidelines and in compliance with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 12100 standard, the machine is equipped (depending on the type of process being carried out) with a range of technical safety measures such as: emergency stop switches, pictograms, etc.
OPERATOR PANEL
The control elements and display allow the process status to be monitored and the individual machine drives to be controlled.
Benefits for the customer/user
- the ability to perform several cable processing operations on a single machine;
- the ability to achieve repeatable cutting lengths and stripping, thanks to adjustable stops;
- a safe processing operation thanks to fixed guards;
- a compact machine design.
