ROBOTICS
The Importance of Robotics in Industry
Production automation is becoming increasingly widespread across the globe. Each year, we see growing interest in industrial robots among our clients. This is no surprise, as robotic solutions play a key role in reducing operating costs by shortening cycle times and minimising changeover time. Their greatest advantages include high efficiency, precision and repeatability.
Our company specialises in production automation and robotics, delivering bespoke solutions tailored to the individual requirements of each client.
We offer robot programming services for KUKA, FANUC, Stäubli, ABB and EPSON.
Types of Industrial Robots
Today’s market offers a wide range of robots with different kinematic structures, including:
Kinematic structure |
Description |
| PUMA | The most common type of industrial robot is the articulated robot, in which all axes are rotary. These robots are widely used for assembly operations, welding, painting, and the palletising of heavy components. |
| SCARA | Robots equipped with three rotary axes and one linear axis are ideally suited for pick-and-place applications, particularly when handling small components. Their key advantages include high operating speed of the main arm and a more cost-effective solution compared to 6-axis robots. |
| CARTESIAN | Cartesian robots consist of three linear servo-driven axes forming a coordinate system. These solutions are ideally suited to applications requiring the precise dispensing of powders and liquids into various types of moulds. |
| DELTA |
Delta robots, with their three arms arranged at 120-degree intervals, are ideally suited for pick-and-place applications as well as packaging processes. Their key advantage lies in the placement of the drives outside the arms, resulting in significantly better kinematic performance compared to gantry and SCARA robots. One limitation of this solution, however, is the inability to perform rotational movement of the workpiece. |
With such a wide range of solutions available on the market, selecting the optimal robot kinematics for a specific task is crucial to achieving maximum production line efficiency.
Our qualified specialists help clients choose robot solutions precisely matched to the requirements of the process.
We work with a wide range of robot manufacturers, incorporating their technologies into the projects we deliver. We also hold licences for offline robot programming, which significantly accelerates the configuration process and allows potential collisions to be identified and eliminated already at the implementation planning stage.
Our Completed Projects

The seal loading machine is equipped with an EPSON SCARA robot. Depending on the selected reference, identified by an RFID sensor, the robot picks a seal in the required colour — black or blue — and precisely inserts it into the starter housing. If an error is detected during assembly or housing inspection, the pallet carrying the component is automatically removed from the line and directed to the reject chute. The machine offers a 3-second cycle time and instant changeover, ensuring high efficiency and flexibility in production. Integration between the robot and the PLC controller has been implemented via PROFINET communication, providing reliable and seamless operation within the production process.

| Teknomatik designs and manufactures machines equipped with gantry robots. One such solution is a flux dispensing machine for casting moulds. The Cartesian robots used in this system, powered by SIEMENS V90 drives, ensure precise positioning at every point of the mould. Changeover time has been kept to an absolute minimum and requires only the selection of the appropriate reference via the operator panel. | ![]() |

Another solution is a machine designed to inspect the presence of holes in starter units. It features a 6-axis Stäubli robot that picks the component from the production line and places it in the inspection fixture. Once the inspection is complete, the robot either returns the part to the line or transfers it to the reject chute. Communication between the robot and the master PLC controller ensures full integration of the machine with the production process. |
